ATL Projects: Glickenhaus GT3 Car, NWM’s Ford Ranger & Lightweighting Award Winners!

The first quarter of the year is coming to an end and ATL has had a tremendous start to 2020 – several projects within the Motorsport and Automotive industry, exhibitions and winning an award! Before we go into the next quarter of 2020, let us reflect on a few previous events.   

Earlier this year, ATL exhibited at Autosport International and won another award at the event’s Product Showcase Awards. Following our win from last year for the Cross-Industry Application award, our Tri-Ax (894-A) material won us the Lightweighting award.

Both trade and public days at Autosport gave us the opportunity to meet customers, answer queries and explore potential projects. We look forward to Autosport next January and we trust it’ll be another fantastic show!

ATL has been busy working on a variety of GT3 projects – one of which is the new Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus 004C GT3 car! Manufactured from our ATL-797 material, this is an FIA FT3.5 approved fuel cell which included our foam baffling, custom plates, internal assembly, wiring and plumbing.

Driven by Thomas Mutsch, we are happy the car had a safe start at the Cremona Circuit in Italy and we are excited about its competitive debut in March at the opening round of the NLS series and the 24 Hours Nürburgring in May.

ATL has also been busy within the rally world this year - sole supplier of the WRC (World Rally Championship) and have supplied fuel cells for cars that have competed in the Dakar 2020 and other rally raids.

We have recently had the opportunity to work with Neil Woolridge Motorsport also know as NMW on their all-new Ford Ranger. We have supplied NMW with an FIA FT3.5 lightweight fuel cell along with our explosive suppressant baffle foam. The all-new Ford Ranger also features a twin-turbocharged 3.5 litre EcoBoost engine and following their fantastic 2020 season we are yet again honoured to be the fuel cell supplier.
