Aero Tec Laboratories has an exciting opportunity for a Technical Sales Engineer to join our Sales team in Milton Keynes.

As a Technical Sales Engineer, you will work within a busy Sales & Marketing team, to identify and explore opportunities for new business in all markets, represent ATL at exhibitions to promote all business capabilities and maintain relationships with existing customers at a high level..

Main Duties

  • Manage communications with customers in relation to all technical sales requirements
  • Customer account management liaising to ensure their needs are fulfilled, including pre and after sales support, to maintain positive ongoing relationships
  • Produce accurate quotations for custom projects across all markets
  • To liaise with the Design department to ensure customers’ needs are fulfilled
  • Ensuring enquiries are dealt with in a timely and accurate manner and orders are processed quickly, accurately and consistently
  • Ensure co-ordinated accurate RFP/Q’s, proposals and quotations to fully qualified design requirements, ensuring right first time approach and optimising profit
  • Monitor project scope and update estimates and quotations as required
  • To advise customers with regards to standard products where required
  • To assist with the production of literature to promote ATL’s technical capabilities
  • Work with the rest of the Sales team and the Accounts department to manage customer credit accounts
  • To research and seek new Sales opportunities via web, magazine articles or word of mouth through clients
  • Ensuring timely and consistent answering of incoming telephone calls
  • Support Finance team to ensure timely receipt of receivables and issue resolution
  • Complete fortnightly reports to the Managing Director
  • Manage and deliver tasks aligned to key business objectives within your area
  • Upskill own knowledge with learning new markets, understanding the market requirements and upskill other team members to align to diversification plan
  • Ensure CRM and PLM systems are maintained with accurate and up to date information
  • Use environmentally sustainable practices in accordance with our environmental policy
  • Seek ways to reduce waste and energy usage in accordance with our environmental objectives

Experience, Knowledge and Skills

  • Qualification in a relevant technical field
  • 3 years relevant professional experience
  • Customer service experience
  • Knowledge of fuel systems
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Must have an understanding of technical components and one or more of ATL’s key markets to offer the best service to customers

Salary Package

  • Salary: £38,000 - £43,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
