Technical Sales Engineer

ATL have an exciting opportunity for a Technical Sales Engineer to join the team. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and exploring opportunities for new business in all markets. You will also be required to maintain relationships with existing customers at a high level.

Main Duties

  • Manage communications with customers in relation to all technical sales requirement;
  • Customer account management liaising to ensure their needs are fulfilled to maintain positive ongoing relationships;
  • Produce accurate quotations for custom projects across all markets;
  • To liaise with the Design department to ensure customers’ needs are fulfilled;
  • Ensuring enquiries are dealt with in a timely and accurate manner and orders are processed quickly, accurately and consistently;
  • Monitor project scope and update estimates and quotations as required;
  • To advise customers with regards to standard products where required;
  • To assist with the production of literature to promote ATL’s technical capabilities;
  • Work with the rest of the Sales team and the Accounts department to manage customer credit accounts;
  • Complete fortnightly reports to the Director’s;
  • Upskill own knowledge with learning new markets, understanding the market requirements and upskill other team members to align to diversification plan;

Other jobs within your capabilities may be requested from time-to-time including any other role that you possess experience in that the Company may require you to fulfil.

Responsibilities & Competence

  • Ownership of the Technical Sales function;
  • Maintain professional relationships with all customers at all times;
  • Maintain confidentiality at all times ensuring all staff are aware of requisite level of confidentiality per project;
  • Ensure clear communication of technical input
  • Ensure approachability
