Description:
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Overseeing inventory audits logging any discrepancies.
- Managing stock, stock control and replenishment.
- Ensure all stock movements out of the building prior to despatch are accurately controlled - guarding against any unauthorised removal of parts from stock.
- Maintain a stock inventory to ensure shelf to system accuracy.
- Ensure stock is kept safe, secure and in good condition.
- Conduct and document daily perpetual inventory checks. Support the stock audit team as required.
- Stock Management experience.
- Knowledge of an environment where batch traceability and identification is key.
- Strong knowledge of goods in and goods out process.
- Be methodical and ensure operating procedures for the stores are enforced on all levels.
- Knowledge of warehouse operating systems, procedures, disciplines, and reporting.
Managing
- Managing team holidays, sickness, and absence
- Conducting 121's, giving feedback and establishing any training needs
- Experience within a similar supervisory/ management role within a Stores/ Warehouse or Dispatch environment
- Readiness to manage a small team and delegate work as appropriate.
- Ability to train other team members.
Person Specification
Experience
- Experience with managing a small team in a previous role.
- Prior experience of warehouse ERP systems.
- Continuous improvement within the warehouse, improving efficiency and cost wherever possible. (Preferable)
Knowledge & Skills:
- Be able to work on your own initiative and meet set deadlines.
- Ability to work under pressure, prioritize and multitask.
- Full UK driving licence and forklift licence. (Preferred)
- A strong communicator with excellent leadership and organisational skills.
- Ability to demonstrate efficiency to the warehouse team and lead by example.
- Proven & considerable experience of working in a management role within a fast-paced warehouse environment.
- A proven record of hitting targets and improving standards.
- Good working knowledge of 5S Standards (Preferred).
- Ensure that the Company Health & Safety Policy and Company Risk Assessments are effectively implemented at site level.
- Ensure that effective deputising cover for all matters in relation to Health & Safety are in place for periods of absence.
- Provide adequate information, instruction, supervision, and training for employees to enable them to do their job safely, including fire and emergency procedures.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong knowledge of Excel and spreadsheet creation and management.
- Must have experience of working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Strong people management skills.
- Attention to detail is essential.
- Ability to prioritise and delegate effectively.
- Strong communication skills at all levels.
Salary Package
- Salary - £30,000 - £35,000 depending on experience
