Hours: Monday to Friday 08:00-17:00 (40 hours)

Job Purpose

  • To inspect and pressure test new Bladders dealing with any issues found raising NCR’s as necessary
  • To inspect Machined, Fabricated, Electrical and Composite parts purchased or manufactured in house
  • To conduct Quality and process spot checks within the Engineering Workshop, Moulding & Final Assembly departments as required
  • To manage destructive testing on Raw Material samples as required following detailed work instructions
  • To prepare Inspection reports and collate paperwork for customer reporting as required
  • To conduct internal and supplier audits as required
  • To assist with the investigation of root cause as and when required
  • To assist with the writing of processes, work instructions and procedures as required
  • To assess customer returned Bladders before repair or recertification
  • To work with the rest of the Quality team to deliver Continual Improvement across the department

Main Duties

  • Work with the rest of the Quality department to ensure that all production areas Quality Control requirements are supported
  • Work with the Stores team to support their needs, prioritising the processing of Goods In inspection in line with schedule requirements
  • Using hand metrology equipment to Quality Control parts
  • Using CMM machines to measure and report on parts
  • To produce control plans
  • To assist the Production Engineering team with testing and process development as required
  • Produce inspection reports on items requiring First Article Inspection
  • Supporting the Inspection of parts in all departments in process and before despatch
  • Conducting pressure tests on Bladders and Fabricated parts
  • Deal with the processing of Internal and Supplier rejects including the use of 5 Whys and 8D reporting where required
  • Escalating issues found to the correct party in a timely manner
