Job Purpose

  • To liaise with all suppliers on rejects and complaints, and working towards resolution through root cause analysis
  • To liaise with all customers on rejects and complaints, managing the internal process to ensure the communication and ownership of resolution in each area
  • Manage customer specific quality requirements, such as PPAP and First Article Inspection reports for some projects
  • Oversee the QC checks of Machined, Fabricated, Electrical and Composite parts purchased or manufactured in house
  • Upskill other members of the quality team or internal stakeholders
  • To conduct internal and supplier audits as required
  • To liaise with the Production Engineer and Design Team with the writing of processes, work instructions and procedures as required

Main Duties

  • Strong resolution management with both Supplier and Customer management; including root cause analysis
  • Work with the rest of the Quality department to ensure that all production areas Quality Control requirements are supported
  • Using hand metrology equipment to Quality Control parts
  • To produce control plans
  • To assist the Production Engineering team with testing and process development as required
  • Deal with the processing of Internal and Supplier rejects including the use of 5 Whys and 8D reporting where required
  • Escalating issues found to the correct party in a timely manner

Job Requirements:

  • Qualification in engineering discipline
  • English spoken and written, fluently
  • One years of relevant professional experience
  • Ability to read Engineering Drawings
  • Knowledge of FactoryMaster – ERP
  • Knowledge of SmarTeam – Document Control
  • Experience of ISO9001 QMS
  • Experience completing 8D reports
  • Experience completing PPAP submission
  • Internal and External Audit experience
  • Awareness of relevant TS / VDA standards
  • Experience of BS EN9102 reporting
  • Experience with basic and electronic metrology eq.
  • Knowledge of relevant FIA regulations & standards
