Job Role

The incumbent of this role is employed to assist their colleagues in the People Team with administrative duties, together with supporting the management of employee relations matters.

Main Duties

  • Complete all administrative tasks accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Maintain the records relating to employee relations matters.
  • Prepare documentation relating to employee meetings, as requested.
  • Attend employee and business meetings to accurately document the minutes.
  • Lead welfare discussions, as requested.
  • Maintain awareness of new and changing legislation relating to employee relations matters.
  • Conduct exit interviews and provide a written summary of the content.
  • Schedule employee meetings (e.g. Probationary Review Meetings); ensure the necessary documentation is prepared in readiness; and finalised thereafter.
  • Conduct People Team reviews with employees during their probationary periods; and provide an accurate documented summary.
  • Assist the recruitment function with CV sifting; booking interviews; conducting telephone interviews; collecting interview feedback forms; recruitment events (e.g. Job Fairs); and preparing onboarding documents for new recruits.
  • Manage communications and bookings relating to training events.
  • Prepare the materials needed for training events.
  • Assist with the daily administration surrounding attendance, holidays and return-to-work documentation.
  • Prepare any reporting information requested.
  • Assist with the creation and updating of policies and procedures.
  • Maintain the People Team’s ‘How to Guide’.
  • Assist with the progression of projects, as requested.
  • Manage the preparation and issuing of employee birthday cards and welcome cards.
  • Assist with the organisation of events.
  • Maintain the Company’s noticeboards; and the monthly collation of suggestion box feedback.
  • Assist with the creation of employee communications e.g. emails and screen presentations.
  • Complete business walkarounds with visitors to the site.
  • Ensure discretion and confidentiality is maintained with respect to employee and business matters.
  • Use environmentally sustainable practices in accordance with ATL’s environmental policy.
  • Seek ways to reduce waste and energy usage in accordance with ATL’s environmental objectives.

You may be required to complete other tasks, as needed by the business.

Requirements

  • Specific experience is not necessary; however, previous administrative duties and/or a fundamental knowledge of employment law would be advantageous.

Package

  • Salary - £16,250
  • Hours of Work - 25 productive hours per week. Core hours: Monday - Friday, 11.30am – 4.30pm (5.00pm if a half an hour unpaid lunchbreak is to be included).
