Aero Tec Laboratories Limited are looking for a Parts Expeditor to assist the Engineering Workshop by managing Works Orders and Raw Materials for the department. Job Purpose:
 

  • To manage Works Orders and Operations within the Engineering Workshop;
  • To manage the stocks of Raw Material and Consumable items within the Engineering Workshop;
  • To report progress against the schedule for the Engineering Workshop;
  • To manage the daily workload of the Engineering Workshop Production Assistants;
  • To work with the rest of the Engineering Workshop department to deliver Continual Improvement across the department.

Main Duties:

  • Ensure that all Engineering Workshop kits are ready for the start of production, working ith the Servicing & Logistics Manager to ensure any shortages are fulfilled as soon as possible to prevent production delays;
  • Assisting the Engineering Workshop where required;
  • Ensure the timely passing of product to the relevant area from the Engineering Workshop;
  • Ensure Raw Material and other components stocked within the Engineering Workshop are correctly issued to Works Orders;
  • To complete stock checks on Raw Material including ownership of Raw Material control;
  • Ensuring parts are processed to surface finishers in line with business needs;
  • To assist with the inspection of parts into, out of and in process within the Engineering Workshop as required;
  • To support buddy checks in the Engineering Workshop department;
  • To report progress against planned schedule, escalating any concerns or risks daily;
  • Escalate any Quality concerns or risks to the Quality Control department.

  • Must have strong mechanical understanding;
  • Offering direction to Production Assistants;
  • Process driven;
  • Promote Continual Improvement throughout the departments;
  • Maintain confidentiality at all times;
  • Ownership of tasks from start to finish;
  • Must have strong attention to detail;
  • Ability to manage workload;
  • Be able to use their initiative to keep all processes moving.

Requirements:

  • English spoken and written, fluently;
  • 3 years of relevant professional experience;
  • Personnel management;
  • Ability to read Engineering drawings;
  • Knowledge of FactoryMaster – ERP;
  • Knowledge of SmarTeam – Document Control;
  • Knowledge of stock control of raw materials;
  • Experience of ISO9001 QMS;
  • Microsoft Excel;
  • Experience with basic and electronic metrology equipment;
  • Desirable: Experience of BS EN9102 reporting.
