Aero Tec Laboratories Limited hand craft fuel cells for a variety of industries including motorsport, aviation, marine, defence and aerospace! We are based on one site in Milton Keynes and are the sole supplier to every Formula One team.

We are looking for a Junior Buyer to join our Purchasing team in Milton Keynes. The successful candidate will have relevant experience in purchasing, negotiation and organisation. This job role requires excellent attention to detail and proactivity to ensure the work is kept on top of. Full training of ATL's products will be given.

Job Purpose

• Ownership of ordering and expediting process to ensure materials are available in line with demand;
• Reviewing and maintaining required stock levels;
• Liaise with suppliers to ensure any delays are communicated and reacted to promptly.

Main Duties

• Raising purchase orders for components and raw materials in line with demand and business needs;
• Expediting orders in line with demand and owning expediting reporting;
• Product sourcing by contacting existing and new suppliers;
• Reviewing and maintaining stock levels for bought in, and manufactured parts;
• Liaise with suppliers to ensure any delays affecting production are communicated and actioned;
• Liaise with stores, planning and production to ensure material is available at correct time;
• Review MRP and ensure stock levels are correct;
• Maintain an up-to-date record of supplier certification and NDA’s;
• Keep track of part prices in system and keep up to date;
• Assist Technical Buyer in strategic purchasing processes and day to day tasks.

Responsibilities & Competencies

• ERP/MRP Experience;
• Competent in Excel;
• 1-2 years of operational purchasing experience;
• Manufacturing/engineering background;
• Negotiation and organisational skills;
• Able to work autonomously and pro-actively.
