Based in Milton Keynes, England. The current ATL UK facility has been established since 2000 after the company outgrew its previous premises. Our comprehensive facilities allow us to bring our fuel systems from concept to reality under one roof.
The facility is around 30,000 sq/ft and is divided into specialist departments that are all highly skilled in each area of fuel system engineering. Find out a little more about each department below and see why ATL are the world leaders in flexible composite technology
Our design department are responsible for many winning fuel systems, systems such as the M-Sport Fiesta S2000 unit are “plug and play” items designed by our five strong team. Our design department boasts five seats of CATIA V5 and uses ENOVIA SmarTeam PLM to manage drawings and models giving full traceability, allowing quick response times and allowing future growth into emerging market sectors. Our CMM capability means that any shape provided by a customer can be rapidly turned into surface data which can be manipulated to produce a custom fuel cell that fits like a glove
Our Fuel Cells are hand made by our skilled technicians in our production Department. Our
facilities
and unique construction methods mean that we are capable of manufacturing "one off" designs or producing cells in large batches.
As well as manufacturing Fuel Cells our production department are also capable of building custom in-tank plumbing and wiring systems.
Our Engineering Workshop has a modern CNC milling and turning capability, together with a dedicated fabrication and welding area. We make a multitude of fuel cell components, including: closure plates, associated nut rings, filler necks, collectors, bespoke refuelling fittings and aluminium containers to suit both our historic and modern day racing fuel cells.
Since 2001, we have expanded our function several times in unison with the growth of our company, and have now diversified into new markets, such as marine and defence. We have experience in producing Stainless Steel fuel tanks and fittings, to match the scale and complexity of the customer's requirements. We can discuss our manufacturing capability and share our experience in this area, to benefit the end product.
Our skilled engineers take pride in producing high quality components, sometimes with short lead times, for a wide variety of customers, showing enthusiasm for each project.
Our quality control department are responsible for ensuring each product that leaves ATL meets our exacting standards. To uphold our high standards we have invested in tools such as our borescope and CMM to ensure each and every product meets specification.
