Bladder Production Technician

Hours: 8am - 4:30pm

Starting Pay: £8.50 per hour, depending upon experience, with possible progression for the right candidate. Paid overtime at 1.5x available once through initial training.

Summary of Duties

  • Technicians will define their own progression within the business depending on how motivated, committed and driven they are.
  • Successful candidates will receive all the trainig required to be capable of hand crafting a high quality fuel bladder from start to finish, with little or no assistance.
  • Technicians are required to meet deadlines and maintain fair and demonstrated schedules.
  • They are required to follow best practice and present products in a Quality Assured manner.
  • They should strive to become fully versed in all aspects of bladder manufacturing including all material types.

The interview is a practicle assessment with follow-up questions which will last around 2 hours.


Design Engineer

We are looking for a Design Engineer to join our growing company based in Milton Keynes.

Job Purpose

  • To work efficiently and effectively within the Design Department.
  • To create concepts and realise these into manufactured solutions for customers and internal design requirements.
  • Convert customer requirements into high-quality manufacturing documentation with the use of CAD, PLM and MRP software.

Main Duties

  • Required to produce high-quality templates for Cell Manufacture, with accurate models, digital representations, drawings and information for the Operations area to follow.
  • Required to document designs and systems throughout the departmental lifecycle to ensure customer's requirements are met and follow company standards.
  • Required to assist the Design Manager with general departmental duties; management, procedural development etc. where necessary.
  • Required to develop job knowledge in all areas of Fuel Cell, Systems and Component Design, and continually progress their engineering capabilities.
  • Creation of fit check card models, to ensure accuracy of design and understanding of fuel cell construction.
  • Required to provide Sales Office with Design information based on sound engineering judgement to assist with quotes on upcoming prototypes and returned cells

Skill Set Required

  • Minimum 3 years experience in a Design Engineering role.
  • Catia V5 experience.
  • Knowledge of part modelling, surface modelling, assembly creation and 2D drafting.
  • Strong MS Office skills.
  • Well justified decision making skills.

Salary: From £23,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Planning Administrator / Personal Assistant

We are looking for a Planning Administrator / Personal Assistant to join our growing company.

Job Purpose

  • Assist Managing Director / Head of Operations & HR with business oversight, planning and administration.
  • Assist Senior Managers with maintaining preventative maintenence schedules and other service supplier / contractor liasion:
  • Assist Managing Director with the management of key customer accounts;

Main Duties

  • Work with Managing Director on various business continual improvement tasks;
  • Attend fortnightly management meetings to manage the minutes, notes and tasks;
  • Attend twice-annual management review meetings to manage notes, tasks and monitor progress between meetings;
  • Produce and analyse relevant data to ensure Planned vs. Actual resource reporting is up to date and circulated to the relevant managers; summarising key data to assist with evaluation of departmental performance;
  • Process customer project scheduling requests to Planning Department utilising data gathered from Planned vs. Actual data;
  • Managing housekeeping within the building;
  • Assist with WIP/Stock reporting when necessary;
  • Produce monthly Sales reports for Managing Directors analysis

Other Duties

Other jobs within your capabilities may be requested by Senior Management from time-to-time, including any other role that you possess experience in that the Company may require you to fulfil. 

Contract: Permanent

Foam Operative

We are looking for a practical individual to join our growing company who is hard-working, enthusiastic and keen to learn. The successful candidate will receive all the training required to be capable of manufacturing and cutting safety foam of various complexities.

Summary of Duties

Once the individual has passed training, the main duty of this role will be to ensure that all foam is manufactured in line with drawings and templates. They will be responsible of all raw material for stock. The role is very hands on and will require the ability of visualising objects in 3D from CAD models and 2D drawings. The successful candidate will need to be very attentive to detail and be able to manage their own time whilst working within a small team.

Qualifications / Experience

No qualification or experience is required as all required training is provided. However, a practical mind-set with good hand/eye co-ordination skills is essential. Performance during training will be analysed to determine whether the individual meets the capabilties required to be able to manufacture foam without assistance.

Starting Pay: £16,120 per annum, paid hourly depending upon experience. Paid overtime available with possible progression up to £18,720.

Quality Engineer

We are looking for a dynamic and logical engineer to join the Quality Department in our rapidly growing company. This role ranges from hand-on Stage and Final Quality Control Inspections through to internal/external supplier development, Customer Quality documentation generation (e.g. First Article Inspection Reporting) and across-the-business continual improvement.

Summary of Duties 

  • Goods-in, Stage and Final quality control inspection of fuel bladders and associated components / assemblies (mechanical, hydraulic and electrical).
  • Incoming materials testing and reporting.
  • Assessment of bladder systems returned for repair/re-certification.
  • Internal and External non-conformance reporting and control, identifying root cause and corrective action to prevent recurrence.
  • Quality documentation creation and customer reporting (e.g. FMEA, FAIR).
  • Key input to Business Management System development and continual improvement.

Requirements / Key Skills

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in engineering or Quality Assurance environment.
  • Minimum HNC in engineering discipline.
  • Process driven mind-set with high attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Mechanical aptitude / sympathy.

Development support will be provided for all aspects of the job.

Specific training will be provided for goods-in mechanical inspection, electrical / hydraulic testing and all aspects of the bladder manufacturing process, including auxiliary parts / fuel system assemblies.

Starting Pay: £25,000+ per annum, dependent on relevant experience + progression.

Job Type: Full-time

·         Representing Final Assembly at production meetings, monitoring schedules both current and future.

·         Prioritising work through the department including liaising with other department managers to ensure arrival of goods is accounted for in daily plans.

·         Conducting appraisals for Final Assembly staff as well as monitoring progression plans.

·         Maintaining all Final Assembly Technician training and capability logs.

·         Responsible for the development of procedures and processes within the department.

·         Liaising with the Head of Operations and the HR team in administrating HR documents and dealing with ongoing resource reviews.
